Weber School District hosted a one of a kind WBL career event called WOW (Women in the Workplace). Held at Weber State University, this student-led event featured 20 female business leaders thriving in traditionally male-dominated industries like law enforcement, marketing, and healthcare among others. Through interactive breakout sessions, these leaders shared their personal journeys—highlighting resilience, innovation, and the power of pursuing one’s passions. Over the course of the day, 1,000 7th grade girls were inspired to envision possibilities beyond barriers and dream bigger about their futures. This presentation will showcase how intentional collaboration between schools, universities, and community partners created a transformational experience for students, while providing strategies for replicating large-scale, high-impact events that spark confidence, broaden career horizons, and amplify women’s voices in the workforce. You will get a how-to guide and several other deliverables that will allow you to replicate a powerful event like this.
