The uptake and placements of pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships do not match the level of attention and investments made over the past decade. Across the US, communities are grappling with how to scale these opportunities to align with employer demand while providing needed support to students. It's clear, innovative new strategies are needed. In April 2026, Kaptivate hosted an Innovation Lab that brought together CTE educators, employers, workforce development leaders, community partners and students from across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
Join us to learn about the Innovation Lab and the new approaches that emerged. Participate in a working session to translate identified actions to your local context and define what you'd need to scale these programs. Attendees will leave with concrete ideas they can test in their own communities and a clearer understanding of how innovation labs can accelerate collaborative workforce solutions.
