This session explores the Georgia Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program and its innovative approach to cultivating future educators through high school pre-apprenticeship pathways. Attendees will gain insight into the four foundational components of a successful pre-apprenticeship program and how these are being implemented across Georgia to address the growing demand for qualified teachers.
Participants will engage in an interactive “Game of Life” simulation to evaluate the program’s alignment with their district or institution’s goals. The session will also provide a step-by-step implementation guide, making it easy for attendees to replicate the model in their own school systems. Real student stories will highlight the transformative impact of early exposure to the education profession, illustrating how this initiative is shaping the next generation of teachers.
