Nia Hodge is a dedicated Work-Based Learning Support Specialist, passionate about connecting students with real-world career opportunities. She focuses on the "Explore" phase of the Work-Based Learning Continuum, guiding students to discover potential careers through industry tours, career chats, job shadowing, and mock interviews.Before transitioning to education, Nia built a strong foundation in human services, serving as a Family Services Specialist and Therapeutic Family Consultant. In these roles, she honed skills in case management, individual counseling, and conflict resolution, developing trusting relationships with children and families, connecting them to essential community resources, and creating service plans to achieve client goals.
Grounded in a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from Old Dominion University, Nia leverages her expertise in counseling and advocacy to empower students, helping them build skills and confidently step into their futures.
