Jaime Sheggrud is an educational leader and workforce development strategist with expertise in career navigation, career counseling, and work-based learning. She currently serves as a Career Navigator in Baltimore County Public Schools, where she develops and implements career readiness programming, expands work-based learning opportunities, and connects students with employers and community partners to support postsecondary success.At the state level, Jaime has contributed to the implementation of Maryland’s statewide career development framework, ensuring that students from middle school through two years postsecondary have access to structured career awareness, exploration, and preparation opportunities. She also consults with employers and organizations seeking to align with the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, offering expertise in outreach planning, curriculum consulting, and partnership development to strengthen workforce pipelines.Her leadership includes coordinating career fairs, industry field trips, and employer engagement initiatives that directly connect young people with local and regional career pathways. She actively supports national and regional workforce initiatives through her roles with The Aspen Institute’s Baltimore Workforce Leadership Academy and the Jobs for the Future (JFF) Career Navigation Advisory Board.Jaime holds a M.Ed. in School Improvement Leadership from Goucher College, a BA in Professional Writing and Rhetoric from Elon University, and a Work-Based Learning Endorsement from the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore. She is recognized for building innovative, student-centered programming that bridges classrooms with careers and fosters meaningful connections between educators, employers, and policymakers.
