About me
Dawn Ulmer’s career reflects a lifelong passion for connecting people, purpose, and possibility. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Business Administration and Marketing, Dawn began her professional journey in finance and communications before answering a deeper calling to education. Since June 2021, she has served as the Strategic Project Manager for the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education, where she contributes to the Governor’s K-12 Council and contributes to state initiatives. On the national stage, Dawn is a member of ACTE’s Work-Based Learning Policy Committee and Professional Development Committee. With more than 20 years of diverse experience—as an Internship Coordinator supporting rural schools, a Business and Technology Director, a Business/Marketing Teacher, and a Distance Education Director—Dawn has consistently championed opportunities that prepare young people to thrive in an ever-changing world. Her work bridges the gap between business and education, ensuring students are equipped not only with skills, but with confidence and hope for the future.
