About me
Jason started working with Reach Higher Montana in May of 2020. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Enhancement from Montana State University-Billings in 1991 and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, with a principal and superintendent endorsement in 1998 from Montana State University-Bozeman. He has 25 years of experience as a teacher, coach, activities director, assistant principal, principal, and superintendent in Montana schools. He was twice named the Central Montana Administrator of the Year and was honored to be named the state of Montana Superintendent of the Year in 2012 by the School Administrators of Montana. He has also served on the Central Montana Learning Resource Cooperative Center Board as the board chair, served on the Central Montana Foundation Board, Montana School Boards Association K-12 Vision group, the School Administrators of Montana Board, and was elected and served as the Montana Association of School Superintendents President. In addition to his position with Reach Higher Montana, Jason currently serves on the Association for Career and Technical Education Work-Based Learning Division Policy Committee, mentors new school administrators as a provider/coach for the School Administrators of Montana and guides fly fishing trips on the Missouri River. He is also a volunteer firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder for the York Volunteer Fire Department.
