In the Kansas City Metro Area, two distinct school systems created internship opportunities for students, aligned to the same vision of providing access to meaningful, professional experiences for their students.

This session will highlight how Liberty Public Schools and DeLaSalle Education Center have utilized Real World Learning to implement and scale internship experiences for students, with initial support from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation.

Join us to learn more about how Liberty Public Schools has grown their internship program from 25 students to 170 students in five years, while also significantly investing in the program with three full-time staff.  This session will also provide a deep dive into how DeLaSalle bridges the gap between school and out of school time to provide safety for its most vulnerable students, along with an opportunity to learn-and-earn with local community partners.
