ACTE's National Work-Based Learning Conference 2026

David Moura is the Dean of Students at Uxbridge High School in Uxbridge, Massachusetts. Uxbridge High School  is a public high school in Central Mass.  Dave has  been in education for over 28 years, 26 of them as a Social Studies teacher at both the Middle and High School level.  Dave has also coached football at both the collegiate and high school level as well as various other sports, including track and field and ice hockey for nearly 30 years. His main role as  Dean of Students is coordinating interns for Uxbridge's robust internship program. They currently have over half of the senior class interning this school year. Many of their interns are partnered with industries that are connected with one of the 4 Innovative Pathway designations. They include Business, Manufacturing-Engineering, Bio Med and Digital Media. We also have interns connected with industry partners that they may have a career interest after high school  or wish to pursue as a major in college.  Part of their presentation will feature how they incorporate work-based learning  experience into our curriculum.
